All Covid related restrictions have now been lifted. But members are asked to observe sensible precautions when on court and in the clubhouse (e.g. please don’t play if you are ill / suffering from a virus).
At all times please be courteous to other members and observe good court etiquiette
Any child who plays in non Yellow Ball groups (11 and under) must still be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children who play Yellow Ball do not now need to be accompanied by an Adult, but must behave responsibly and observe general tennis etiquette. (See the posters around the courts).
See Use of Tennis Floodlights guidance on the Club Guide page.
PLEASE TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS WHEN LEAVING, AND ENSURE ALL LIGHTS ARE OFF IF YOU ARE LAST TO LEAVE AT ANY TIME OF DAY.
You must use the Online Court Booking application to book your sessions. Courts must be booked via ClubSpark and CANCELLED if you change your mind. (Non-conformance is now being monitored and a penalty policy will be implemented soon for those not cancelling unused courts.)
We are now able to accept occasional Guests to play at Hillhead when escorted by a member. Members are permitted to bring up to 2 guests per month free of charge, but any individual can only visit as a guest up to 3 times within any 12 month period. Members are responsible for booking courts and retaining contact details of their guests in the event of a Track And Trace requirement at the Club.
Members are reminded to please carry your Membership Card (or your welcome email) and be prepared to show it.
PLEASE BOOK ONLINE HERE (https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/HillheadLTC/Coaching). Numbers per session are restricted and we recommend early booking. Our coaches operate social distancing and hygiene measures.
These are operating on evenings when court availability permits and currently require online booking for any coach led sessions (e.g. Monday evenings). Please book here (https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/HillheadLTC/Coaching )
Access to Courts
Enter the courts via the main gate at the car park side of the clubhouse. If you have the first booking you will need to open the padlock with the code. Open both gates and lock the padlock onto a gate. If you are the last player to leave the court lock the gate (at any time of day). The code for the padlocks can be provided by any committee member or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE COURTS UNLOCKED IF NO ONE IS PLAYING.
Follow the posters and other signage around the courts.
Winter Court Maintenance
The Club policy is to let snow and ice thaw naturally. Please do not brush or scrape the courts to try to remove snow and ice. This displaces the sand, damages the fibres, accelerates wear and causes dead spots. Be patient. Wait for it to thaw.
